About Us

The Columbia office operates in all spheres of commercial new construction and renovation. A few of our specialties include Corporate Offices, Hospitality, Senior Living, Assisted Living, and Multifamily Residential. Non-commercial specialties include healthcare and higher education. With our office in Columbia, MD we are situated directly between Washington DC and Baltimore. From an engineering perspective, there is never a shortage of new design challenges between the various cities and jurisdictions we work in.  Outside of work, between these two cities, there is never a shortage of activities and entertainment. Columbia itself is a rather special place; it is a great place to live, work, and play.

Highlighted Projects

The Wharf in Washington DC is a project we are deeply proud of. The Columbia office collaborated with the Allen + Shariff offices in Pittsburgh and Salisbury to deliver successful projects across 2.2 million square feet of hospitality, residential, and office space on the Southwest Waterfront in DC. It is a special project that exemplifies the quality of work and spirit of collaboration that set Allen + Shariff apart.
