Allen & Shariff provided services for the following projects at Pittsburgh International Airport.

Airside Information Kiosk:

Allegheny County Airport Authority – Electrical design and information technology coordination for the replacement of the existing information desk with a curvilinear information desk set in a field of eight triangular glass towers. Design included a information ribbon comprising of a continuous arc of moving electronic message panels. Design included design of electrical power distribution and information technology pathways.

TSA Security Checkpoint’s:

Mechanical and plumbing design services for six new security checkpoints for Pittsburgh International Airport. Project completed on time, within budget and just as important, to the satisfaction of the Airport Authority. Over the life of this project several key individuals at the Authority expressed their amazement as to how fast this project was designed and constructed. It was only through the hard work and dedication of the design team that the construction documents were produced in time for the contractor to bring this project to reality.

Telecommunications and Security for a 20,000 square foot TSA Security Checkpoint for TSA. Designed new camera system to tie into existing Airport Campus Security System and allow migration to new system. Designed telecommunications infrastructure and cabling to security checkpoint equipment.

Pittsburgh International Airport Vault 14-32 :

MEP design services for a 5,000 square foot addition for a runway lighting vault.

Pet Restroom/Family Assistance Room

New service pet restroom within existing Air-side building, with a family assistance ADA toilet room adjacent to the Pet restroom and a new second family assistance ADA toilet room in existing Land-side building.
