The project consisted of the renovation and upgrade of an existing GE Signa 1.5T MRI to a GE Signa 3T MRI. Allen & Shariff provided design services for the HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Medical Gas, Nurse Call, Fire Alarm, and Tele/Data systems for the space. Under the project a new dedicated 50-ton air cooled chiller was designed to cool the liquid cryogen for the equipment’s magnet as well as modify the existing halon fire-suppression system within the MRI equipment room.
