The project consisted of the removal and replacement of the existing medical imaging equipment in the UPMC Shadyside Lab 1 IR and installation of a new GE Discovery IGS 740. Allen and Shariff performed design services to modify existing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, IT, nurse call and fire alarm systems for the space. As a part of the HVAC design, a new laminar flow ceiling system was installed as well as medical gas zone valves and alarm panel to comply with the most updated FGI requirements.
