Allen + Shariff provided engineering services for an X-Ray replacement at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Mechanical engineering included modification of the existing HVAC system and new sprinklers. Requirements from the X-Ray machine were followed to provide the correct cooling to the space for the machine. The sprinklers were designed to NFPA standards.

Electrical engineering included modifications to general power, lighting, fire alarm, tele/data, and nurse call. Installation requirements for the X-Ray were strictly coordinated with the manufacturer to provide conduit, cable trays, junction boxes etc. The existing nurse call system was modified to meet requirements within the renovated space. Lighting consisted of dimmable 2x2s and downlights. Power receptacles and tele/data outlets were added and replaced in the renovated space to accommodate x-ray equipment function.
