Pherm Brewing

Allen + Shariff provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for this 6,000 SF brewery. The $850K project includes 1,950 sf brewing production area and a 2,900 SF tasting room. The glass behind the bar provides customers a view to where the beer is made. The facility includes a stage for local musicians and an outdoor “Beer Garden”.

One of the three roof top units was maintained to reduce overall construction costs. The other two units were replaced and increased in size to accommodate the total load requirement of the space. All existing ductwork was removed. Rectangular ductwork was utilized where concealed and within the brewing / employee area. Spiral ductwork was installed in the customer tasting area. Carbon dioxide control was utilized to limit outside air when levels could be achieved below set points.

Existing plumbing utilities were re-used as necessary to minimize tenant construction costs. Domestic and drainage connections to the process equipment were laid out to equipment supplier direction and specifications. The domestic hot water generating system comprising a gas fired water heater and maintenance loop with the implementation of thermostatic balancing valves ensures that hot water shall be supplied to all plumbing fixtures.
