Allen + Shariff Corporation provided engineering services for the renovation of a 1500 SF conference room and kitchenette to provide blood draw chairs, a waiting room, lab workroom, and staff lounge. The mechanical design included installation of branch ductwork and VAV systems, two air conditioning split systems, and the replacement of an existing exhaust fan.

The plumbing system was modified to facilitate the addition of two toilet rooms and two additional sinks. The sprinkler system was expanded to provide proper coverage in the new layout.

Electrical design included the addition of a branch panel to the distribution system to serve loads in the new space. Dimmable lighting with occupancy sensing controls were added throughout. The fire alarm and tele/data systems were expanded to provide adequate coverage and IT functions for the space. A stand-alone nurse call system was provided to ensure patient safety.
