NAME: Tyler DeLancey

TITLE: Project Manager

OFFICE: Zelienople, PA

YEARS AT A + S: 5

Tell us a little about yourself. Family, hobbies, etc.

I was born and raised in Ford City. I went to college at Penn State to get my Mechanical Engineering degree. After that, I got hired at Allen + Shariff, and I have been here ever since. I live in beautiful Armstrong County with my wife, Christina. My hobbies include golfing, watching movies, and traveling with my wife.

How would you describe the Allen + Shariff culture and your team?

We have a great “team” culture, it’s all for one and one for all. Everyone in the office is willing to help on any issue, whenever/wherever. From what I can tell, that isn’t specific to the Zelienople branch. Anytime I talk with someone throughout the company, they are always willing to help.

What are your thoughts on our leadership team?

I think they are going to position our company to continue to thrive. They take our comments about the company, good or bad, and work to improve it.

What’s one thing — either industry-related or not — you learned in the last year?

I learned that spending an extra 15 minutes at the end of the day to finish something can save you an hour the next day. I also learned that having a good team around you lets you have a proper work/life balance.

Do you have any programs that you are currently binge-watching?

“Ted Lasso” and “Silo”. Apple TV is an underappreciated service. I can’t recommend it enough.

What is one thing you cannot live without?

My cats. They love my wife more, but I still wouldn’t want to be without them.

What is the one superhero power you wish you had?

The ability to read minds. I feel like having that ability could have gotten me out of many situations. Plus, would be a great party trick.
