Tell us a little about yourself. Family, hobbies, etc.
I enjoy spending my free time with my wife (Kelli) and son (Dominic, 6), playing video games with my son and my friends, working on cars, and metal detecting. In addition, I really enjoy racing on my racing simulator setup.
What is your favorite part about engineering?
My favorite part about engineering is the challenge that each project presents. Every project is different and can have many challenges. This keeps my mind focused and sharp.
What drew you to Allen + Shariff initially? And, how has Allen + Shariff changed since?
I was young and looking for something that would become a career and not just another job. Allen + Shariff offered me a chance to make this job into a career along with much more. Allen + Shariff has since, created a plan on how to structure the company and make it stronger.
Are there any misconceptions people outside of your field have about your job title?
Yes, we are always mistaken as plumbers and not plumbing designers.
If a client project is like going to the moon, what’s your role in that mission? Are you in the space shuttle or at mission control?
I would say I am at mission control helping get the client safely to the moon and address any issue that may occur along the way.
What is something unique about you (a fun fact) that few people are aware of?
I bought a 2003 Mustang as a project car when my son was about 1-1/2 years old. I plan to rebuild the car with him and give him the car once he is old enough to drive. It has been something I have wanted to do with my son since before he was born.

The Witcher – The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski
What would you eat if you had to eat only one meal every day for the rest of your life?
