Allen + Shariff is continuing to grow, and we have set in-place a strong foundation of leadership. Our existing Vice Presidents continue to manage their respective offices, building strong client relationships and projects across the US. I thank them for their continued dedication to our firm and look forward to their future successes and contribution to Allen + Shariff’s growth. It is with this growth in mind, that I am honored to announce a series of new Vice Presidents to continue this tradition of excellence.
First, I am pleased to introduce Tim Chatterton as Vice President and manager of the Salisbury office. He brings with him extensive years of experience in the A/E industry providing exceptional customer service and energy efficient design. He is well known with our clients in the Salisbury area and looks to continue those long-term relationships at Allen + Shariff. As Vice President, Tim remains involved in all projects and is committed to empowering the members of his team. He credits his architectural engineering degree with giving him the understanding of entire building systems as well as being able to appreciate the architect’s vision. He has published several technical papers; is active in the Architecture, Construction, Engineering (ACE) Mentor program; and a member of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). I am excited about his new role at the company.
The Columbia office is also experiencing leadership growth. I’m proud to announce the promotion of two excellent leaders to the position of Vice President. Ahmad Hachicho and Chad Kulawiak, will now serve as Vice Presidents and managers of the Columbia, MD office. They join Hamza Tlemsani in this role.
Hamza will focus his attention on technical design, quality control and mentoring. Ahmad will manage the client relationships, business development and general office operations. Chad’s focus will be managing the technical side of the operations with resource management and project profitability. All three leaders will collaborate together to continue the success and growth of the Columbia office.
Ahmad has been with Allen + Shariff for 7 years. He most recently served as Operations Manager for our Middle East/ North Africa (MENA) Project Management/ Construction Management (PM/CM) operation at our UAE branch office. In that role, he grew the project management division and handled large scale projects including the New Al Ain Hospital (a 713 bed state-of-the-art tertiary hospital – $1.2B) and the Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) Expansion Works (a major expansion that will transform the existing SSMC hospital to a major destination medical center for the MENA region). His experience encompasses the design & management for projects ranging from urban & master planning, mixed-use developments, large scale residential and commercial complexes to healthcare projects in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa. Ahmad’s background in Architecture and PM/CM brings to the team a better understanding of the client’s vision and objects. Relocating to the US, he will bring his management skills and experience on large scale developments to projects across the DC/Baltimore metro area.
Chad joined Allen + Shariff in 2021, and brings a long tenure of management experience in the MEP industry. Over the course of his time with Allen + Shariff, his knowledge, integrity, and commitment to the company have made him a valuable member of the Columbia team. Recognizing these attributes, the board of directors has instituted Chad to continue his management role across the office. Chad’s responsibilities include implementing project design quality control, project and staff scheduling, business development, and establishing and monitoring budgets. He has experience with a diverse range of projects including healthcare, offices, retail, higher education, K-12 education, mixed use multifamily housing, and federal government projects. Chad’s focus on value and teamwork have contributed to the success of these projects. Chad has consistently exceeded the expectations of his customers. I have no doubt he will continue to brilliantly represent Allen + Shariff.
I thank our current Vice Presidents and our new leaders for their hard work and dedication. I have the utmost confidence that they will continue to lead with integrity and honesty, building continued relationships with our clients and internal team members. Congratulations to the entire team of Vice Presidents on your new promotions. An honor well deserved.
