Throughout this year, Allen & Shariff is taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate the foundational business relationships that we have developed during our first 25 years. As we pause to spend time with our valued friends and partners, we are taking the time to share a little about who they are, the work we’ve done together, and why we’re proud to know them.

Allen & Shariff shares the same philosophy on approaching our work projects – before we even begin planning, we build relationships. We listen to clients, community members, and other stakeholders to ensure that each finished project brings value to everyone involved. We are both committed to creating environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable communities.
We believe in the power of collaboration, and that having the right people in place is key to working together. Both Allen & Shariff and Torti Gallas have worked hard to build the best teams. Our combined approach takes into account not just the technical aspects of a project but also the way a building fits the community and stands the test of time.
“We’ve been pleased to have a great working relationship with Torti Gallas,” said Allen & Shariff CEO Zack Shariff. “Our shared values have contributed to some really great work we’re both proud of.”
Here’s one of the projects we worked on together.
8th & H – Washington, DC
Allen & Shariff provided MEP engineering, LEED consulting, Energy Modeling, and Pre-Requisite Commissioning for this $100 million multi-use building. The eight-story building has residential space for 384 apartments, 52,000 feet of shell retail space, and a three-level, 405-space parking garage. The goal for the building is LEED Gold certification.
