Beebe Healthcare serves the Sussex County, DE community with a medical center located Lewes and outpatient locations in Georgetown, Millsboro, Milton, Millville, and Rehoboth Beach. Founded over a hundred years ago by two physician brothers, the medical center has grown over time into an expansive community health system with a vision of making Sussex County one of the healthiest in the nation.
Allen & Shariff has been able to support this mission through the various Beebe Healthcare building projects we’ve been a part of. Allen & Shariff VP Patrick Clemente is operating onsite part time, supporting Beebe as they undergo the process of hiring a new director of facilities.

Bookhammer Outpatient Center – Lewes, DE
Beebe Healthcare Bookhammer Outpatient Center is located at the Rehoboth Beach Health Campus, and offers a range of outpatient services. Allen & Shariff provided MEP support for two key projects at the center – the CT Scanner room and Registration and Ultrasound.
The CT Scanner project is a 550 square foot upgrade to support new, highly advanced imaging equipment. In collaboration with ABHA Architects, Allen & Shariff provided MEP engineering to support the new CT scan machine. The design included supplemental DX cooling, requiring coordination with the equipment manufacturer to design the appropriate electrical provisions.
The Registration and Ultrasound project involved renovating approximately 200 square feet of the registration area, and again coordinating with the equipment manufacturer to design the appropriate electrical provisions including power, tele/data, and lighting.
