Allen & Shariff provided MEP Engineering services for the following projects at Ronald Reagan International Airport in Arlington, VA.

US Airways Shuttle Relocation:

Mechanical and electrical design for this airport project which consists of relocating the US Airways shuttle counter within the airport. The project includes field work to document existing conditions, review and application of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Design Manual (2004 Edition), responses to review comments, and preparation of a booklet specification. Mechanical system design includes HVAC load calculations, relocation of existing air devices, specification of new air devices, rebalancing of the terminal unit serving the new location, preparation of a sprinkler system performance specification, and fire protection plans. Electrical systems design includes power connections for relocated equipment (including a CTX machine), relocation of a 15 kva transformer, new data and power outlets, relocation of existing light fixtures, and fire alarm plans.

Security Checkpoints:

Mechanical and electrical design for this airport project which consists of renovations to existing security checkpoints at three terminals. The project includes field work to document existing conditions, review and application of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Design Manual (2004 Edition), responses to review comments, and preparation of a booklet specification. Mechanical system design includes HVAC load calculations, modifications to existing duct system, relocation of existing air devices, specification of new air devices, rebalancing of existing terminal units, preparation of a sprinkler system performance specification, and fire protection plans. Electrical systems design includes power connections for relocated and new equipment (including X-ray machines and metal detectors), new data and power outlets, power for new CCTV devices, relocation of existing light fixtures, and fire alarm plans.
