Allen & Shariff was the General Contractor for the Henderson Hall Pool Structure and Pool House project at the Henderson Hall Complex in Arlington, VA. ASC’s design build team created the concept designs to convert the existing Henderson Hall facility into a fully renovated, state of the art athletic facility at the Marine Corp. Base in Arlington. The construction took three separate Fitness Center buildings and transformed them into one integrated complex and included renovations of the existing 26,800 SF space.

Renovations to the existing pool facility included demolition of existing equipment and structures and the installation of all new finishes and bathroom equipment. All new windows and HVAC systems were installed in the existing building. The project also included exterior renovations to the brick facing of the existing structure.  ASC installed a new 30′ high air-supported structural enclosure around the pool space, including state of the art computerized controls for interior pressure, heating and monitoring (shown above).

The gym connecting structures were designed to complete the facility and included new mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems.
