MEP/FP design services for two of the North Shore Connector Stations – Gateway Center and the Convention Center stations.

The North Shore Connector is a $523,000,000 project to extend the existing light rail system from the central business district to the North Shore of Pittsburgh. This 1.4 mile extension involved boring two tunnels under the Allegheny River and the construction of  the new stations.

The Gateway Center Station received extensive renovation, including an entirely new underground station area and constitutes the beginning of the 1.4-mile route with its next stop at the underground PNC Park Station.

  • This project received the Award of Excellence  – Open Plan, AIA Pittsburgh.
  • This project also received the Silver Medal Award – AIA Pittsburgh.
