Description

Allen + Shariff is looking to add to its growing team by adding a Human Resources individual who will assist with overall Human Resources efforts with a significant focus on Talent Acquisition efforts.

Responsibilities

 1. Hiring and Talent Acquisition – Responsible for building a talent pipeline to support the growth of Allen + Shariff across multiple offices.  Sourcing resumes and qualified candidates, maintaining applicant tracking records/system, and onboarding new personnel effectively. Enroll in and attend job fairs.  Proactively search for active and passive candidates.  Build a successful recruiting system for Allen + Shariff.  Coordinate and oversee interview and onboarding process.

2. Support programs that attract, retain, and grow self-starting talent, eager to pursue company goals and enhance corporate culture. Identify opportunities for corporate morale- and team-building activities to promote employee satisfaction. Support all initiatives related to creating and maintaining a culture of happiness

3. Coach and mentor Allen + Shariff employees with the goal of developing their skills further to provide the highest level of service to the organization.

4. Support Company training initiatives. This includes identifying need for new corporate training courses; revising New Employee Orientation content when needed and overseeing its delivery; participating in the design and delivery of corporate training courses; maintaining employee attendance records for training courses.

5. Ensure that Continuous Improvement and Corporate Quality standards are upheld. This includes conducting regular reviews of employee handbooks, corporate policies, procedures, and forms, and updating as needed.

6. Establish and maintain Company performance systems and measures. This includes maintaining employee performance evaluation system; ensuring Performance Evaluations are up to date; reviewing and maintaining competencies, job descriptions, and goals and objectives; implementing Performance Improvement Plans as necessary; administering corporate surveys as requested and reporting to leadership on the results.

7. Oversees Discipline and Termination Process Work with leaders to implement progressive discipline plans when needed, to include Performance Improvement Plans. Work with leaders at all stages of the termination process to ensure compliance with laws and minimization of risk.

8. Maintain programs and plans to comply with federal and state standards, e.g. Affirmative Action, FLSA, ERISA, diversity, etc. This includes staying apprised of legal developments and informing leadership as appropriate; updating current policies and creating new policies as required; overseeing completion of annual Affirmative Action Plan and administering the plan; insuring all employees are assigned to correct FLSA designation on hire date.

 

Qualifications
  • Human Resources knowledge and acumen including employee benefits, compensation, and policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of recruiting practices and strategies.
  • Management and coaching skills for staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with all members of the organization to identify their needs and outline ways Human Resources can provide the maximum benefit to staff.
