Talbot County 911

Allen + Shariff provided MEP Engineering services for the Talbot County 911 Center located in Easton, MD. The project included a 2,600 square foot addition and renovation of the existing 12,100 square foot building. The expanded facility includes command offices, kitchen, bunk and shower, and additional call/dispatch areas with 24-hour use of the building.

The mechanical system design consists of a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) which provides simultaneous heating and cooling to all areas of the building. The plumbing system was reworked to meet modern standards and design to include the low flow fixtures, ADA accommodations, on-demand water heaters, and domestic hot water recirculation loop. Electrical design included a complete upgrade of the electrical distribution system including a utility pad mount transformer, and the lighting and power were also upgraded throughout.
