PCTEL

Allen + Shariff provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design for this tenant fit-out. The project involved the renovation of approximately 19,000 square feet of office and warehouse space for a new electronics lab, office, storage and warehouse fit-out.

Existing packaged gas-fired / DX cooling roof top units and fan-powered VAV boxes were utilized due to construction costs limitations. Likewise, ductwork modifications were limited to areas that were reconfigured for new space layouts. Systems were reconfigured such that the electronic labs had their own VAV units.  Wall mounted canister style humidifiers were installed in the electronic labs. A ductless split system was added to the new server room. For the plumbing, minor renovations were made at the existing pantry area, a new shower was added, as well as a drinking fountain with a bottle filler.

Existing light fixtures were installed and relocated as required to accommodate the new space configurations. New down-lights were added to the reconfigured reception area, new pendant light fixtures were added to the warehouse space, and a generator was added for the tenant’s lab and office power requirements.
