Allen + Shariff performed full MEP engineering design services for the renovation of Atlantic General Hospital’s (AGH) new Women’s Health Center, located in West Ocean City, MD. The project included the design of a 4,938 square foot diagnostic suite and a 1,261 square foot imaging suite. The state of the art facility was designed to provide a wide range of services, including gynecology specialists, diagnostic testing, 3D mammography, ultrasound, lab, and minimally invasive procedures.

The HVAC system renovation was also included, which consisted of a high efficiency variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heat pump system with heat recovery. Energy recovery ventilators were added to precondition the outside air with exhaust air. The electrical design consisted of new interior lighting, power, and a fire alarm system, and the plumbing design included a new water heater and plumbing fixtures.

In addition to the Women’s Health Center, Allen + Shariff led the MEP design for multiple suites, including the renovation of a 2,320 square foot existing office into a new primary care physician’s office, as well as the 3,575 square foot renovation of office into primary care and pediatrician space.
